Melanee Wang

Melanee Wang is 10 years old and in the fourth grade, where her favorite teachers are Mrs. Barns, Mrs. Hair, Mrs. Wallace, and Mrs. Murphree.  She has played the piano for 4 years.  She lives with her mother, father, and sister Wei, who also has taken piano lessons from Mrs. Carroll.  Melanee has one dog and a lot of friends at home and at school.

Since studying under Mrs. Carroll, Melanee has received two Superior ratings at the National level in the National Piano Guild Auditions.  Melanee has so far participated in two recitals, where she played Amaryllis and Auld Lang Syne.  Melanie's favorite composers are Beethoven and Bach, and one day hopes to become a famous music player.  Her favorite songs are Dvorak's "New World Symphony", Auld Lang Syne, Swiss Music Box, and Beethoven's "Pathetique" Sonata.

Besides music, Melanee also plays soccer in the spring, summer and fall, and basketball in the winter.  She loves macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes, and she loves to visit China.
